Fargo City Hall

Fargo City Hall
In 2018, I applied for an open call for artists to submit ideas for a mural project on the exterior of the newly built Fargo City Hall. The resulting twelve panels represent the past, present, and future of Fargo.
My research involved exploring archival materials, primary images, and written narratives to chronologically tell the city’s story. Central themes of the Red River, the railroad, and agriculture are vividly depicted throughout the panels. Additional elements like Island Park, manufacturing, and aviation further enrich this visual tapestry, weaving together the diverse threads of Fargo’s heritage and aspirations.
This call is open to artists to submit new ideas for the exterior panels every few years.
