Fargo Parks Sports Center

Fargo Parks Sports Center

For the brand-new Fargo Parks Sports Center, I designed murals that bring Fargo Parks’ mission—growing community through places, spaces, and experiences—to life. These murals create a vibrant indoor environment that inspires activity, promotes healthier living, and leaves a lasting impression on everyone who visits.

The murals reflect the bold and collaborative values of Fargo Parks, celebrating the beauty of local parks and the diversity of activities available in this state-of-the-art facility. They’re not just about decoration—they’re about fostering connection, play, and inspiration for people of all ages and abilities.

  • Turf and Courts: The Turf and Courts areas feature murals highlighting their versatility, as these spaces host a variety of sports, from soccer and football to basketball and volleyball. Vibrant colors from the Fargo Parks palette make the murals visually striking while aiding in way-finding.
  • Iceplex: The Iceplex murals celebrate traditional hockey alongside sled hockey—a sport for individuals with physical disabilities. The facility’s unique design, including level ice access and removable benches, ensures inclusivity and reflects Fargo Parks’ commitment to serving everyone in the community.
  • Walking Track: The second-floor walking track is surrounded by a mural of intersecting loops over a backdrop of green grasses and blue skies, symbolizing motion, growth, and the natural beauty of the Fargo area. The track’s lanes extend into the design, visually connecting the space to the community it serves.
  • Midco Lounge: The lounge features a playful video-game-inspired landscape reflecting the outdoor parks, blending technology with nature to create a space that’s educational and imaginative.
  • Indoor Playground: The playground entrance features a tree fort-inspired design, from the creative ways kids play outdoors. It brings the joy of Fargo’s parks inside, providing a warm, imaginative space for families during the colder months.

These murals are more than just artwork—they’re an extension of Fargo Parks’ mission, offering visitors an engaging, inclusive, and memorable experience. I’m proud to have contributed to a space that truly reflects the vibrancy and heart of our community.
